Year 9 Science Works Excursion

On the 13th of November, the Year 9 science students went on an excursion to Scienceworks. Students attended a workshop titled ‘Beyond Perception’. Students were able to delve into the amazing world of science as they discovered the invisible fields and forces that surround us including gravitational waves, invisible light, sound and aerodynamics. This allowed students to learn about current research which is continuing to uncover the amazing hidden worlds around us. Students were also able to experience the lightning room live show which included a giant Tesla Coil, electromagnetic can crusher, Jacob’s ladder and lightning safety strategies. Overall, students had a great day and were pleased with the experience.
